Mr. Cassin has lived in Asia for over 16 years.

Before founding Cassin Law LLC, Dick was a senior partner in a major international law firm and managing partner of its 40-lawyer Asia practice in Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing.

He represents clients in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, international joint ventures and strategic alliances.  He helps clients comply with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and export regulations, and he regularly assists companies facing compliance issues. His practice also includes the handling of contentious matters, including contract claims and shareholder disputes, among others, through international arbitrations in Singapore and other venues.

Dick writes and speaks frequently on international law and business. His writing has appeared in the Asian Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Oil and Gas Journal and Management World Magazine, among others. He was an adjunct member of the Law Faculty of the National University of Singapore from 1994 until 1998 where he conducted an intensive upper-level program on the structuring, development and operation of multinational joint ventures. He founded and writes the popular FCPA Blog and is the author of the book Bribery Abroad: Lessons from the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

He received his law degree from Boston College Law School, where he served as an Editor of the Boston College Law Review.  He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Virginia and Florida.
